School leaders Meet with the Secretary-General of China-ASEAN Center
On January 24th, Lin Na, party secretary of GTU, and Cheng Dao, the principal of GTU, met in Beijing with Chen Dehai, secretary-general of the China-ASEAN Center.
Chen Dehai thanked GTU for its support to the Center's work, confirmed the achievements of GTU in China-ASEAN cooperation and exchanges, and introduced China-ASEAN tourism, education cooperation and the work status of the Center. He pointed out that there are many things that tourism education needs to do, hoping that the GTU will give full play to the advantages of the existing platform, tap the potential of cooperation, and make new contributions to China-ASEAN tourism education.
Lin Na expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the China-ASEAN Center for its concern and help. She reported that, as the secretariat of the China-ASEAN Tourism Education Alliance, GTU hosted the China-ASEAN Tourism Education Cooperation Forum. She said that GTU will continue to actively participate in the activities of the Center, play its due role in the education and training of ASEAN tourism talents, and promote the continuous development of China-ASEAN cooperation.
Cheng Daopin reported on the education of international students and the establishment of the International Advisory Committee, hoping that the Center will continue to support the construction of the platform and build a closer community by strengthening cooperation and exchanges with ASEAN countries.
Kong Rumeng, director of the Educational, Cultural and Tourism Department of the China-ASEAN Center, Zhou Hui, deputy director, Li Qianguo, a tourism official, and Lin Yejiang, vice party secretary of GTU, attended the event.
